eBridge Troubleshooting Guide

Sales Tax in eBridge is calculated the same way it is calculated in STORIS. To confirm, perform the exact same scenario in STORIS via Enter a Sales Order to verify that you receive the same results. The tax calculations are controlled by various settings, most notably Sales Tax Settings.

You can set up delivery charges in two different ways:

• Delivery Charge Settings

• Delivery Company Settings

Once you set up a delivery charge calculation, it is used in eBridge and STORIS.

On the Advanced tab in Point of Sale Control Settings enter your company name and %order_number% in the Sales Receipt Email Subject field.  For example, enter STORIS Order Number %order_number%.  If you support multiple languages, click the Action button to access the Language Translation Entry screen and complete for all languages.

The End of Month process needs to be run for all months that have been missed.  In STORIS, select Generate Monthly Reports and click the Run button.  You may need to run this process multiple times depending upon how many months were missed.

The ApplyDeposits method allows the interface to submit a deposit to a specific order.

In STORIS, go to Miscellaneous Payment Settings and create a new payment type code. For example, you can create a payment type code named WEB. 

In eBridge, use the following properties:

• depositType - Indicates the payment type - e.g. VISA, MC, AMEX, CHECK, etc.. This must match a payment type code in your database. For authorized payments, use the payment type code that you created in Miscellaneous Payment Settings (e.g. WEB).

• authorizationNumber - If you have authorized a credit card prior to submission, the authorization number obtained can be submitted here. If this field is populated, STORIS does not attempt to obtain an authorization.  If this field is blank, STORIS attempts to obtain an authorization.   This authorization number is stored with the account number associated with the miscellaneous deposit.

There are four options in the Delivery Date Status on the Virtual Store tab in Web Control Settings.  They are ASAP, CWC, Estimated, and Scheduled.

The delivery date is not required, but applicable only if the default Delivery Date Status is set to either ‘Scheduled’ or ‘Estimated’ in the Web Control Settings. If the delivery date is not valued and there are delivery lines on the order, it is calculated by STORIS.

To ensure product stock is reserved immediately, select Order Date at the Reserve by Date Type field on the General tab of Inventory Control Settings.

Go to Warehouse/Store Location Settings, enter the code of your web store, and then check the box at the Automated & Manual POS Numbers field on the Advanced/Miscellaneous tab.  

In the eBridge SubmitOrder or SubmitQuote methods, pass in an order ID in the property orderID. If provided, this is the order number used in STORIS. If this property is not provided, the order number is auto-generated by STORIS.

The following characters cannot be used in the orderID: /, <, >, |, :, ?, \, *,", ' and spaces.

In the Cash Balancing Control Settings, make sure there is a Cashier and a Drawer set up for eSTORIS.

There are two ways to control delivery charges:

• To charge for delivery by each zip code, define the delivery charge for each zip code in Delivery Charge Settings.

• A more complex option is to use the Logistical Route Settings, which links to a Delivery Company.  You manage the Delivery Company in the Delivery Company Settings.

Delivery type route codes have a Delivery Company assigned to them in Logistical Route Settings. The Delivery Company can be set up to use a Flat Charge or a Delivery Charge Table.

SubmitOrder and SubmitQuote can use a Route Code Override by assigning a value to the optional property ‘routeCode’. However, Logistical Route Settings in STORIS must be completed for the route code in order to use it. You must also ensure that ‘Available Days’ and ‘Delivery Company’ are set appropriately.

When using SubmitOrder and SubmitQuote, you can apply a discount to each line item.  When using the lineDiscountCode, the ‘price’ that you send in is the discounted price. The standard or original selling price is calculated by adding the calculated discount to the final discounted price.

Also ensure that the optional property ‘lineDiscountCode’ within SubmitOrder and SubmitQuote is set to an existing ‘Discount Code’ found within Sales Discount Settings.

If you want the STORIS server to send a confirmation email when an order is placed, follow these steps:

1. Select "From Database Server" from the Order Confirmation Email combo box on the Administration tab in Web Control Settings.

2. Check the box at the STORIS Server Can Send Emails field in Notifications Control Settings.

3. At the Email Text ID field in Maintain Web Email Text, use the Search button to locate and select one of the following text ID's: OrderCompleteEmail.txt or MultOrderCompleteEmail.txt. Select the one containing the text you want displayed in the order confirmation email.

Using STORIS, you can select additional fields to be included in the export when performing a call to WriteProductData in order to produce a product export file.  First, access Web Control Settings from the STORIS main menu. Select the ‘Export’ tab and locate the fields you wish to include in the product data. Check the box next to each web data field you want to include and then click Save. The field(s) will be included the next time you create a product data file using WriteProductData.

In order to return kit components, the following settings must be enabled:

• Show Web Price field in Brand Settings

• Available On Web field in Brand Settings

• Display Selling Price field on the Product tab in Web Category Settings

In order to display the price the following settings must be enabled:

• Show Web Price field in Brand Settings

• Display Selling Price field on the Product tab in Web Category Settings

For each product, you must have the following:

• A Web Category assigned to the product on the eSTORIS 1 tab in Advanced Product Settings

• Unavailable on Web must be unchecked on the Product tab in Web Category Settings

• Available on Web field in Brand Settings

• If you have the box checked at the Require Available Merchandise field on the Virtual Store tab in Web Control Settings, the value in the Minimum Web Stock Available Quantity field on the eSTORIS 1 tab in Advanced Product Settings must be blank or the value must be less than the number of pieces of inventory.

The following applies if you checked the box at the Encrypt Customer's Password on the Administration tab in Web Control Settings.

To maintain the text that is sent to a customer to alert them to reset the password, open the Maintain Web Email Text and use the Search button to select ResetPassword. Included in the text you will have a URL link to the User Interface that the customer can use to reset the password.  

The eBridge method, SendPasswordResetEmail, sends an email to the customer. The eBridge method to update the customer’s password is UpdatePassword.

The following applies if you checked the box at the Encrypt Customer's Password on the Administration tab in Web Control Settings.

To maintain the text that is sent to a customer to alert them to reset the password, open the Maintain Web Email Text and use the Search button to select ResetPassword. Included in the text you will have a URL link to the User Interface that the customer can use to reset the password.  

To initiate a reset of a customer password, go to the Reset Password field on the eSTORIS tab in Advanced Customer Settings. Check the box at this field and click Save.  The STORIS server sends an email to the customer.
