Logistical Route Settings

Use this file to
-
define routes for dispatching delivery, transfer, and customer-service orders, and
-
indicate the days on which to make the routes available for use.
Use this file with the Route Code field in the Zip Code file and the Route Capacity Settings. When you enter the delivery date or scheduled date on a sales or service order, the program verifies that the route assigned to the customer's ship-to zip code delivers on that day. When you enter the scheduled delivery date on a transfer, the system verifies that the route assigned to the warehouse location's zip code transfers goods on that date.
To limit stops, total pieces, total dollar amounts, and cubic units for individual routes, use the Route Capacity Settings. To specify global limits, use the Route Capacity Control Settings.
Route CodeEnter the code of the route you want to enter or edit. You can enter up to five alphanumeric characters. Note that once an order appears on a manifest, you cannot change the route.

Cut Off Routes Days Prior to Scheduled Date
Delivery CompanyEnter the delivery company you want to associate with this route code. If you click on the Search button, you access the Delivery Company Lookup window, from which you can make a selection.
If you select Delivery at the Route Type field, this field is mandatory.
Transfer From
Service EmployeeIf using the Customer Service module and have specified a route type of In-Home Service for the selected route, you can assign a service employee to this route for customer repairs. Service employees must exist in the Create a User (Staff File) record.
Shared Route Capacity
iCall Stops
Earliest Subtract MinutesIf the iCall Voice Processing Control Settings is set to notify customers of delivery stop times, use this field to establish the earliest stop time when giving a range of delivery times for this route. This is the number of minutes to subtract from the delivery time of the order for the earliest stop (delivery) time. This field is active only if you have purchased the iCall Voice Processing module.
Latest Add MinutesIf the iCall Voice Processing Control Settings is set to notify customers of delivery stop times, use this field to establish the latest stop time when giving a range of delivery times for this route. This is the number of minutes to add to the delivery time for the latest stop time. This field is active only if you have purchased the iCall Voice Processing module.
If open orders exist for this route, you cannot Delete the entire route code (Delete button at bottom of the screen is inactive).
