Use this routine to create and edit prep codes. STORIS places prep code fields throughout the system so users can indicate any preparation needed for a sales order, exchange, or service order. You create the codes here, then your users apply them throughout the system to indicate the preparation work that must be done for a particular product on an order line.

When associated with order lines, this prep code information is transmitted to warehouse management for internal prep label print processes.

Clicking the check box at this field makes the selected prep code available for selection. Deselecting the check box will remove it from the available prep codes. By default, this field will be checked.

If a prep code has been added to an open transaction during sales order entry, but is subsequently deactivated, it will not be removed from the transaction automatically and will still show in the list of selected prep codes when viewed in transaction entry. If you attempt to deactivate a prep code which has been assigned to a product in Advanced Product Settings, you will be prevented from proceeding and an error message will display.
