Review Status and Merge Individual Customers

• Manage Customer Merge List > Click Review Button

This field displays whether the customers can be merged "immediately" or "in the future", based on existing activity for the customer designated as the DUPLICATE. (See the Duplicate Customer Merge Overview for a list of merge rules.) 

This field displays the current merge status, based on the existing activity for the customer designated as the DUPLICATE.  The following is a list of statuses:

• Null / No Status - no status is displayed if no previous merge actions/steps have been saved/updated by the system or a user.

• User Recommended - the user ID recommending the merge is indicated in place of the word 'user'.

• Merge - when eligible for the next process schedule it is merged, or when a user manually updates the list for the customers that were selected when the merge button was utilized.

• Merged - Customer has been successfully merged.

• Removed - A merge status has been removed; the data is removed by the purge process.

• Attempted - a merge was attempted; however, it was not successful due to the eligibility, file lock, or error. (See the Duplicate Customer Merge Overview for a list of merge rules.) 

The current action taken during this session displays here. For example, if you click the Recommend button, this field displays "Recommend".

If you do not have the security to merge duplicate customers, you can click this button to recommend a merge. The accounts are flagged with a "recommend" status and can be merged later by a user with permission.

To run the merge process for the selected customers immediately, click this button. If a customer cannot be merged immediately, a message displays the reason and the duplicate and merge-to customers remain on the list. (See the Duplicate Customer Merge Overview for a list of merge rules.)

To change the merge status to "Remove" and eliminate the selected customers from the merge list, click this button. Once this action is complete, the grid is updated.

If you access this screen from the menu, you indicate the Duplicate Customer Code ("merge from") and Merge To customers. Click the Search button to access the Search for a Customer screen. If accessing this screen from the Search for Duplicate Customers to Merge or Manage Customer Merge List screens, the duplicate and merge to customers display from the previous screen.

The customer's name, address, telephone numbers and email display from the customer settings.

The customer's full social security number displays (from customer settings), providing you have permission via the Access other credit applications and score reporting field in your user settings. If you do not have permission to view the full number, the social security number is encrypted and only displays the last four digits.

The date of the last comment in the customer activity log displays here. To view the Customer Activity Log, click the Action button.

The total amount of this customer's historical purchases displays here. If you click the Action button, you access View a Customer's Historical Purchases.

The total amount of open transactions for this customer displays. If you click the Action button, you access View a Customer's Open Transactions.

The total amount of deposit liability for this customer displays. If you click the Action button, you access View a Customer's Current Deposits.

The total amount due for this customer displays. If you click the Action button, you access View a Customer's Account Balance.

The total long term revolving amount is displayed. If you click the Action button, you access View All Revolving Activity for a Customer.

The total amount of pending installment transactions is displayed. If you click the Action button, you access View All Installment Activity for a Customer.

Use the left and right arrow buttons to move from one customer to the next when multiple customers are selected from the Manage Customer Merge List screen.
