Use the Signature Capture add-on module to capture customer signatures via a tablet device during transaction processing in STORIS. The data is stored within STORIS. You must establish connections with, and "manually" submit transactions for approval to, the various card processing companies whose cards you support. Contact STORIS for more information about this feature.
Use Payment Card and Device Settings to enable the Signature Capture feature for credit card processing in STORIS.
The Signature Capture feature
first captures the credit card information locally,
allows users to make changes to the order and/or the entered payments if required, then finally
submits that data to the payment processor as part of the order-entry wrap-up procedure.
In this way, if problems arise before the order conclusion, no corrections are required since no payments have been submitted.
Enable the Signature Capture feature for use with the following:
Enter a Sales Order, Payment Card Receipts, and Revolving Credit Agreements when used as payment on a sales order Sales Order (Legacy only)
To use the Signature Capture feature...
... the Credit Card Processing module must be active on your system,
STORIS personnel must install and activate Signature Capture on your system, and
your signature capture devices must be set up to work with STORIS and your credit card processors.
Then, to set up your workstation for Signature Capture, follow these steps:
Connect the hardware to your PC and power it on. System information displays on the device screen.
Load STORIS and log on to a location for which Signature Capture is enabled.
In STORIS, click on the following options on the Tools menu available at the top of the screen:
Install Signature Capture Drivers
Load Signature Capture Forms - Loads the forms needed by your Signature Capture device
Enable Signature Capture Device
Restart your session via the Switch User button. A message should appear indicating that the Signature Capture device is initializing.
The Signature Capture feature is compatible with Veriphone® and Ingenico® signature capture devices.
To use the Signature Capture feature during a STORIS session, the log-on location you specify at the User Log In Screen must have Signature Capture active (that is, a check must appear at the Signature Capture field on the Credit Card tab of the Warehouse/Store Location Settings).
To view an archive of credit card transactions, use the View Customer Signatures routine.
To re-initialize the signature pad, click on Clear on your PC screen. You may want to re-initialize the signature pad if the customer needs to re-do a signature. You can also click on Clear to re-establish contact with the PC if the connection has been compromised.
