Use this routine to maintain the system parameters
for the Electronic Check Processing feature.
Electronic Check Authorization Transaction SequenceEnter
the reference number you want to assign to your first ECA transaction.
The system then increments this number by one for each new ECA transaction.
History Retention DaysEnter
the number of days you want to retain ECA transactions in your history
files before purging.
DL Number Prompt
Processor Time Out Limit (hhmm)Enter
the variable time limit, in HH:MM (hours, minutes), that you want to keep
the phantom process running after a transmission
has been initiated.
The transaction processor starts looking for transactions to process after
the time specified here.
Manual Authorizations at Non-Process LocationTo allow
users to manually enter authorizations at locations where electronic communication
with the processing house is not possible, check the box. To prevent
manual authorizations, leave the box blank.
Separate Receipt PrinterIf you
have a separate printer set up specifically for printing receipt tickets,
check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.
Default Payment TypeEnter
the default payment type you want to use when swiping checks. Set
this field to the Type 2 payment type (that is, the Check payment type)
your company uses for check payments. If you click on the Search button, a list of Type 2
payment types appears from which you can choose.
Receipt TextEnter
the text you want to use for the ECA Acceptance Statement (that is, the
statement permitting the electronic deposit of the customer’s check into
the merchant’s bank account). The text appears on the receipt that the
customer signs at the time of purchase. This text, including fee amounts,
is usually supplied by the Electronic Check Authorization/Acceptance service
provider.
Allow Company ChecksTo accept
checks from businesses, check the box. To accept only personal checks,
leave the box blank.
