Support Files: Form Settings, User Settings
Use this file to define your system printers.
If you edit this file, you must run the Synchronize OS to STORIS Printers to re-initialize the configuration.
Printer NumberThis is the name assigned to the printer. The printer name must be identical to the name given to the printer in Windows® and is case-sensitive.
DescriptionThis is the text description of the printer. For example, enter the type or location of the printer, such as HP LaserJet 880C, Computer Room, or Accounts Payable Office.
Standard FormEnter the form you want to designate as the standard form for this printer. This is usually the STORIS Form that is most often sent to this printer. If you click on the Search button, a list of forms appears from which you can choose.
In the case of an administrative printer, this will most likely be zero (0). Examples: Enter 42 for a sales order printer; 60 for purchase orders.
Physical Printer NumberThis is the port number assigned to this printer. The value of S35 will always be entered in this field.
STORIS Printer ControlTo use STORIS to control the enabling and disabling of the printer, check the box. To manage the printer outside of STORIS, leave this field blank.
Printer DriverThis field is available only if configuring Zebra Barcode Printers and is based on the Zebra Model being used. Please contact STORIS for assistance with determining which driver is appropriate for the printer model being used.
Continuous StockThis field is available only if configuring Zebra Barcode Printers. If printing on a continuous roll of label stock with no breaks, select this option. If printing on a roll of non-continuous label stock with a break between each label, leave the field blank.
To route print jobs for this printer through your installed Windows® printer driver, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank. This field is active for Windows-based systems only.
Some printers require the assistance of a print driver to print raw, unformatted data. If your system is set to the following, no formatting is applied to the print job and your printer may not be able to format it correctly:
the Document Destination field in the User Print Settings is set to STORIS Form Settings for the log-on user, and
the document type you are printing is set to Standard Print (or Form for some document types). For examples of print options for sales order document types, see the Document Type section on the Printed Documents tab of the Point of Sale Control Settings.
Routing the job through your system's Windows print driver may solve this problem.
