Use this window to view, edit, or remove file attachments from STORIS items such as sales orders or product records. You can also edit the Description field.
To access Edit Attachments, the paper clip icon at the top of the screen or tab must be active. An inactive paper clip icon indicates no attachments are found, and if you click on the Actions button, the Edit Attachments option is inactive. To activate the paper clip, you must either access a record to which a file is attached, or if a grid is on the screen, select an item in the grid with an attachment.
Note that you can view but not edit 2nd-tier attachments, even if the paper clip icon is active on the screen. For example, if you add a product with a file attachment to a sales order, the paper clip icon on the Merchandise tab becomes active. However, if you click on Edit Attachments from the Actions button, a message appears saying no attachments were found to edit. To edit the file attachment, you must open the product in the Product file and access the Edit Attachments routine there.
If you delete or purge a record to which a file has been attached, the system deletes the attached file as well.
