Perform Mass Inventory Updates

• Inventory > Receive Merchandise > Perform Mass Inventory Updates

This field defaults to your user login location. Click the Arrow button to select another location from the list of locations available to you.  

Use this optional field to narrow the search to a specific product. Enter the code or click the Search button to access the Search for a Product screen.

Use this optional field to indicate storage locations in which you want to search for inventory. This field is only active for Warehouse Locations that are set to use Location Tracking. Enter a single storage location or click the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup Window, where you can select multiple storage locations.

The default for this field is unchecked. If you check this box, As-Is inventory is excluded from the search at this warehouse location. A checked box at this field disables the As-Is Only check box and vice versa.

The default for this field is unchecked. If you check this box, the search is restricted to only As-Is inventory at this warehouse location. A checked box at this field disables the Exclude As-Is field and vice versa.  

If you check the box at As-Is Only, you can use this field to restrict your search to only As-Is products with the reason(s) you specify here. Enter a single reason code, or click the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup Window, where you can select multiple reason codes.

NIL cannot be selected as a reason code.

You can use this field to narrow your search to inventory belonging to specified product groups. Enter a single product group, or click the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup Window, where you can select multiple product groups.

You can use this field to narrow your search to inventory belonging to specified product collections. Enter a single collection, or click the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup Window, where you can select multiple collections.

You can use this field to narrow your search to inventory from a specified vendor. Enter a single vendor code, or click the Search button to access the following options you can use to look for vendor codes.  

• Vendor

• Vendor Name Search

Once you have completed the selection criteria section, click the Search button to begin the search for inventory. All merchandise that meets the criteria populates the grid. Once a search has been performed, you can click the Clear button and then change the criteria to perform another search. All merchandise that is in RF picking or NIL is excluded from this process. 

Once the grid is populated, you can select all merchandise lines that should be included in the update by checking the box on the line. Check the box in the header row to select all lines in the grid or remove the check from the box to clear all selections in the grid. When checked, the piece associated with the grid line is updated when you click Save on the Mass Inventory Update screen.

The following columns display for each piece of product in the grid.

• Product - ID of product

• Description - Description of product

• Serial Reference - The serial / reference number of the piece displays

• Quantity - Usually displays one (1), but can be greater than 1 for bulk pieces. In that case, the entire bulk quantity receives the update. If performing an update on a Bulk item that requires piece availability, only the available quantity is updated.

• Update Error - Populated with the reason that the update could not be performed on the associated piece.

• Sales Order - The sales order number and line number to which the piece is reserved displays here. Products linked to sales orders can only be moved from storage location to storage location within the warehouse. They cannot be moved from warehouse to warehouse.

• If a user has chosen pieces that are either assigned to a sales order or not available, the only action that can be taken for those pieces is a bin to bin transfer. If any other action is requested (Warehouse Transfer or Change of As-Is status), a message displays notifying you that the pieces are not being updated.

• Reason Code - If the piece is currently in an As-Is status, the reason code is displayed

• Storage Location - Current storage location of the piece

• Product Group - ID of product group

• Collection - ID of product collection

• Vendor - ID of product's vendor

• Name - Vendor name

Following selection of lines in the grid, click the Mass Edit button to access the Mass Inventory Update screen, where you perform the updates on the pieces you selected.
