Multiple Selection Lookup Window

This window appears at fields that allow your response to include multiple items. Click on the box next to the items you want to select. To remove a check, click on the box again.

If more records exist than can fit in the grid, you can use the scroll bar on the right side of the grid to view additional records.

To select all items on the list, click on the button. To remove checks from the list, click on the button.

The read-only version of this screen appears when accessed through a view-only version of the routine. In this version, you may only view the currently designated selection(s).

Overview

Multiple Selection Lookup windows display the records contained in the settings routine associated with the current lookup window. A list of records displays from which you can choose one or more as responses to the current prompt.

For example, if the current field was named Salesperson, and you clicked on the Search button next to the field, a pop-up window named Salesperson would appear listing all of the salespersons in the Salesperson Settings. While you can enter your response directly into the field, sometimes it is quicker and more accurate to choose from the lists provided by Multiple Selection Lookup windows.

You can choose items from Multiple Selection Lookup windows, but you cannot create and enter new responses here. To edit the list of records in a Multiple Selection Lookup window, access the file maintenance routine associated with the current lookup. For example, if the name of the lookup is Terms Code, you can edit the list via the Terms Code File routine.
