Complete a Pickup without Accessing Order Entry

Use this routine for fast, convenient completion of customer pickup orders at the pickup area itself.  For example, an employee at the pickup area can use this routine to complete (invoice) a customer pickup order on the spot.  For security reasons, this routine does not allow changes to an order, and you cannot use this routine to complete a layaway order.

Signature Capture Feature

Use Payment Card and Device Settings with this routine to record customer signatures acknowledging order pickup.  If Signature Capture is active for this routine, then when you click on Save, a prompt appears with the option to capture a customer signature. If you choose to save the signature to disc, you can view it later by accessing the completed order in Enter a Sales Order or View an Existing Sales Order. Note that depending on your setup in the Payment Card and Device Settings, the system either prompts you each time to save the signature to disc, or saves the signature automatically when the customer taps Accept on the signature pad.

To activate the Signature Capture feature for this routine, use the Complete Pickup Transactions Without Accessing Order Entry field in Payment Card and Device Settings. Use Configure Document Signature Capture and Configure Document Archive to establish parameters for capturing electronic signatures and business document archiving, respectively. If these features are enabled and the appropriate signature capture hardware exists, the signature capture ceremony is launched and this signed business document is archived; these processes are initiated when the Save button is clicked.

 If you attempt to save an order with a balance due, a warning message appears but you can proceed.

If WMS is active, this routine is not available for WMS locations.
