Use this inquiry to obtain availability information for kits and the component products that comprise the kit A group of stock products organized into a set so as to be sold as a package or suite. In STORIS, you can create hard or soft kits.. This inquiry lists the various components of the kit, along with the

• selling price for the kit,

• selling prices for the individual components, and

• quantity and purchase order information.

Since this inquiry is not based on any specific pieces or costing layers, the exact add-ons from the layers cannot be used for calculation of landed costs. Thus, this inquiry uses the generic landed cost calculation. This may result in cost displays that differ from other, more precise, processes.

The output of this report may be affected by Regional Processing restrictions.

General

Kit MasterEnter the kit master number for the product about which you are inquiring. The code you enter here must exist in the Product Kit Settings (Kit Master Creation) program. If you click on the Search button, Search for a Product appears.

CommentsThe comments entered in Kit Master Comments via Product Kit Settings (Kit Master Creation) display here.     

AvailableThe current available quantity of this kit displays. Maximum kit availability is based upon the quantity of the least available component.

As-IsThe as-is quantity displays.

TypeThe kit type displays (hard kit A kit with selling and stocking restrictions designed to ensure that when ordered, all components of the kit are sold together from the same location. For example, you cannot edit the contents of a hard kit, nor can you substitute components of a hard kit on a sales order. or soft kit A kit with fewer selling and stocking restrictions than a hard kit, allowing you to treat the components as individual line items. For example, STORIS allows partial shipments of soft kits., based on the setting in the Kit Type field in Product Kit Settings (Kit Master Creation).

Sell PriceThe kit selling price displays. This is based on settings in the Product Kit Settings (Kit Master Creation) and Product records.

Kit CostThe kit cost displays, provided you have security access to costing information.

LocationThis drop-down allows you to view kit product details by selected locations.  You can click the Arrow button to select a location from the drop-down or click the Action button to select multiple or all locations.

For each item in the list of component products, the following information displays.

• Component Number - the product numbers of the individual components of the kit.

• Price - the selling price of the product as a single piece.

• Kit Price - the selling price of the product when sold as part of the kit.

• Quantity on Hand - the current quantity on hand for the individual component.  

• Available - the current available quantity of the individual component (quantity on hand, minus the quantity committed to sales orders, minus the quantity on reservation.

• ATP Date - The Available to Promise date displays in this column. This is the next date when there is expected to be quantity available that does not need to be designated for another order.

If you do not use the ATP calculation and the following three settings - ATP CALCULATION: Include New Purchase Orders, Include Stock Transfers, Included Unlinked Purchase Orders - are not enabled in your Point of Sale Control Settings, the ATP Date column and data is not displayed in this grid.

• Net Purchase Order - the net purchase order quantity for each component is calculated as the number of units on purchase orders, minus the quantity on sales orders but not yet reserved to sales orders, minus layaways.

• Purchase Order - the quantity of this component currently on order via creation of a purchase order.

• Component Quantity - the quantity of this particular product to be included in the kit.  

• Cost - the cost of the individual component product.

As-Is

This tab displays information on as-is A status of inventory. Most inventory is considered "regular" inventory. As-is inventory includes everything other than regular inventory, including floor samples, damaged and clearance items, etc. kits for the specified location.

LocationEnter the code of the location containing the as-is A status of inventory. Most inventory is considered "regular" inventory. As-is inventory includes everything other than regular inventory, including floor samples, damaged and clearance items, etc. kits you want to view. If you click on the arrow, a list of locations available to you appears, from which you can make a selection. The kits in the location you specify appear in the grid.  

AvailableThe number of As-Is kits available at the specified location appears.

ReferenceThe unique reference number assigned to the kit appears.

Status  The kit status (that is, either Assigned or Unassigned) appears.

ReasonThe Reason code and its description appears.

Sell PriceThe kit selling price appears.

Order*LineIf assigned, this column displays the order document number and line reference.
