Use this inquiry to obtain availability information for kits and the component products that comprise the kit . This inquiry lists the various components of the kit, along with the
selling price for the kit,
selling prices for the individual components, and
quantity and purchase order information.
Since this inquiry is not based on any specific pieces or costing layers,
the exact add-ons from the layers
cannot be used for calculation of landed
costs. Thus, this inquiry uses the generic landed cost calculation.
This may result in cost displays that differ from other, more precise,
processes.
The output of this report may be affected by Regional
Processing restrictions.
For each item in the list of component products, the following information displays.
Component Number - the product numbers of the individual components of the kit.
Price - the selling price of the product as a single piece.
Kit Price - the selling price of the product when sold as part of the kit.
Quantity on Hand - the current quantity on hand for the individual component.
Available - the current available quantity of the individual component (quantity on hand, minus the quantity committed to sales orders, minus the quantity on reservation.
ATP Date - The Available to Promise date displays in this column. This is the next date when there is expected to be quantity available that does not need to be designated for another order.
If you do not use the ATP calculation and the following three settings - ATP CALCULATION: Include New Purchase Orders, Include Stock Transfers, Included Unlinked Purchase Orders - are not enabled in your Point of Sale Control Settings, the ATP Date column and data is not displayed in this grid.
Net Purchase Order - the net purchase order quantity for each component is calculated as the number of units on purchase orders, minus the quantity on sales orders but not yet reserved to sales orders, minus layaways.
Purchase Order - the quantity of this component currently on order via creation of a purchase order.
Component Quantity - the quantity of this particular product to be included in the kit.
Cost - the cost of the individual component product.
