Special Order Inventory Assignment

Use this screen to assign a serial number to a special-order product on a sales order. If multiple special order products exist on the order, you must assign serial numbers one at a time so STORIS can verify the fabric/SO detail information matches for each piece. In the header area of the screen, the system displays product information on the selected special-order product including product availability.

The grid displays the status and special order information for all items in inventory with the same product name. Double-click on the row whose serial/reference number you want to assign to the selected special-order product and choose Select from the small menu that appears (if you choose More, you access the Special Order Detail window, which displays additional information on the selected product). The serial-reference number appears in the Reference field. Click on Add to assign the number. Click on Save to return to the main entry screen. The grid contains the following columns:

Serial / Reference - Depending on Serial Tracking settings, this column may display a serial/reference number for one or more pieces.
Status - The status of each piece (As Is, Assigned, Unassigned) displays in this column.
Frame - The frame of each piece displays in this column.
Special Order Detail Information - Special order detail information for this product displays. This information is retrieved from the Advanced Product Settings (Product Full) record. This information was entered using the Special Order Info option on the Actions button that appears on the bottom of the General tab in the Product record.
Storage Location - The current storage location of each piece is displayed.
