Support Files: Zip Code, Warehouse Location.
Use this file to create a record for each region within your company. Regions consist of stores and warehouses grouped together for the purpose of segregating inventory and inventory activity (as opposed to districts which segregate sales activity). Many reports in STORIS include a Region field which you can use to restrict the report's output to data from one or more regions.
To restrict report output by region, Regional Processing must be active.

Replenishment
The Primary and Secondary Warehouse fields are used with the Automatic Stock Replenishment feature. You can set replenishment locations in several files. When searching for a replenishment warehouse, the system checks the Primary and Secondary Warehouse fields in the following routines, in the following order:
-
product Group record
-
product Category record
-
Warehouse/Store Location Settings
-
Region record.
-
If none are found, the system uses the settings in the Inventory Control Settings.
Access to the Primary/Secondary Warehouse entry fields in this section are based on whether Replenishment is active for Stores and/or Warehouses, according to the settings on the Replenishment tab of Inventory Control Settings.
To indicate that products in a specific region should be replenished from specific primary/secondary locations, use the following fields. You can assign primary and secondary warehouses independently, depending on whether you are replenishing a warehouse location or a store location.
For Stores:
Primary Warehouse
Secondary Warehouse
For Warehouses:
Primary Warehouse
Secondary Warehouse
If the Replenishment information is populated, the Primary/Secondary warehouse locations specified are used for replenishment of all products in this region, except those products belonging to a specific group, category, or location where replenishment locations have been specified. Replenishment information at those levels override these fields in region settings.
