Auto Transfer List

Use this screen with the Inter-Regional Auto transfer feature to create a list of secondary stock locations. You can create a separate list for each warehouse location in your system. This screen is available via the Actions button on the Merchandise page of the Warehouse/Store Location Settings for warehouse-type locations only.

For the selected location, use this screen to create or edit a list of additional locations (if any) you want the system to check when searching for inventory to fill an order for which insufficient quantity exists at the stock location.

You can arrange the locations in any order you like. When searching for inventory, the system starts at the top of the list and continues down until it finds sufficient quantity to fill the order, whether it be existing stock or incoming purchase orders. If sufficient quantity is not found, the program back-orders the remaining quantity.

If Regional Processing is active on your system and you select a location from a different region, a warning message appears but you can proceed.

Select the order types to which you want to apply this location group. You have the following options:

Neither
Deliveries Only
Pickups Only
Both

You can use this optional field to indicate a transfer route code. Click the Search button to select a code from the Read-Only Lookup Window. If you indicate a route code in this field, transfers created based on this schema use this route for the transfer from this location, unless the route the transfer takes is different due to the presence of a "ship via" route. Auto transfers based on the schema use the route code(s) from the schema.

The system determines the route by checking for the existence of a transfer route code in the following order:

Warehouse/Store Location Settings
Distribution Location Schema (Maintain Via Locations)
The route code on this screen (Stock Location Schema)
The standard default route code based on the location to which the merchandise is being shipped.
