Distribution Location Schema

Use this routine to create a multi-legged transfer list, defining multiple locations for stock fulfillment. The list is used with merchandise whose distribution status is set to "available from multiple locations". The settings on this screen are only used when merchandise is not transferred directly from one of the locations in the Stock Location Schema to the location where the merchandise is required.

After specifying the From and To locations, the Maintain Via Locations screen appears, where you indicate the Via Location and optional Route Code. At least one Via Location must be entered in order to save the list you created. If you leave the Via Location field blank for any From/To location in the list, merchandise is transferred directly from one location to the other.

The warehouse/store code where the transfer is originating displays from the previous screen.

Indicate the final destination location for merchandise being transferred from the warehouse/store specified in the From Location field. Click the Search button to select a location from the Read-Only Lookup Window. Following entry of the location, click the plus/add button. The Maintain Via Locations window displays, where you specify the Via Location and optional Route Code.

The multi-legged transfer list displays in the grid. For each leg of the transfer, the following is displayed.

To Location - The final destination location for merchandise being transferred is displayed.
Via Location - This column displays the Vial Location, if any, specified on the Maintain Via Locations screen.
Route - The route code, if any, associated with each leg of the transfer is displayed.
Edit Via - Click the Edit Via button in this column to access the Maintain Via Locations window.
Remove - Click the Remove button in this column to delete a line from the grid.
