If you run this report before you run the physical inventory update process, you can use it to analyze the quantity and dollar variances between the frozen and the counted inventories. You can run the report for one or all
warehouse locations,
one or all products, and
one or all product categories.
Selection also includes
a range of storage locations,
a calculation type,
the option to limit exception types, sort options, and
the option to insert blank lines between products on the output.
For products that report a unit cost of zero, if any of those costs appear to be in error, ensure that a frozen count exists for the products in question.
Enter the code for one or more warehouse locations whose inventory you want to include in this report. If you click on the Arrow next to the field, a list of locations appears and you have the following options:

The Multiple Location Selection box appears and you can select multiple locations for this report. The ‘ … ‘ appears in the field. You can also click the Action button An outlet to additional routines and functions. Identified by a blue button with a white ellipsis, Action buttons appear next to fields. to access the Multiple Location Selection box.
A single location
Only the location you select is included in the report and the location code for your selection appears in the field.
To accept the default response (All Locations), leave the field blank. To select multiple locations, click on the Action button. The Multiple Location Selection box appears and you can select multiple locations for this report. The ‘ … ‘ appears in the field indicating multiple items have been selected. The description of your selection displays under the entry box.
ProductEnter the code of the product you want to include in this report. If you click on the Search button, you access the Search for a Product window which you can search for and select a product to report. To include all products in the report, leave the field blank.
CategoryEnter the code of the product category you want to include in this report. If you click on the Search button, a list of product categories displays from which you can choose. To include all product categories in the report, leave the field blank. The description of your selection displays under the entry box.
From Storage LocationEnter the initial storage location in the range of locations for which you want to run this report.
Through Storage LocationEnter the final storage location in the range of locations for which you want to run this report.
ExceptionsTo include all exceptions on the report, select None. To limit your report to only reservation exceptions (exceptions that occurred when pieces were reserved to an order but were not found during the physical inventory), select Reservations Only. To limit your report to only frozen to counted variance exceptions, select Variance Only.
Display VendorTo include the vendor code on the report, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.
Display Vendor Model NumberTo include the vendor model number on the report, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.
Insert Blank Print Lines Between Each Product ListedTo insert blank lines between each product listed on your report, specify the number of blank lines you want inserted. You can enter a number from 0-9. Blank lines that are inserted at the bottom of the page do not carry over to the top of the next page. Therefore, if you indicate 4 at this prompt and there is only room for 3 blank lines at the bottom of a page, only 3 blank lines are inserted following the last product on that page.
Sort Preferences #1, #2, #3Use these prompts to indicate how you want to sort the report. You must specify a sort option in #1; #2 and #3 are optional. Sort options are Product, Category, Location, and (for levels 2 & 3) None Selected.
Enter the calculation type. You have the following options:
Total - all products.
As-Is - as-is products only.
Saleable - inventory products only.
PrintIf you have access to cost information via your Create a User/Group Actions - System Security settings, you can choose to display either the unit cost or selling price of each product on your report. Select Cost to include cost information in the report or Sell Price to include selling price information. If you do not have access to cost information, the Sell Price option is selected and you cannot change it.
Send Output toThe output destination of the report displays. To change the output destination, click on the Actions button and select Output Settings.
Export PathIf you select either the Personal Report Viewer (PRV (Personal Report Viewer) A STORIS printer output option that allows you to customize report results, for example to rearrange data columns.), Excel Export, or ASCII Export, this field displays the pre-set computer drive and folder location to which the system exports the report data. You cannot edit the export path using this process.
Once the run-time options have been selected, choose Run to produce the report.
