Actions button on most print report routines
Use this window to specify the output destination of your report data or other file or document.
Not all of the options listed below are available for all reports.
Enter the code of the output option to which you want to send this report or document. If you click on the Arrow, a list of options appears from which you can choose. Not all of the options listed below are available for all routines. Note that reports that generate several formats (detail, receivables recap, etc.) output these report formats as separate items.
Basic PDF - Generate the report as a pdf file (or several pdfs) that automatically displays on your screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Enhanced PDF - Generate the report as a PDF file that automatically displays on your screen in Acrobat Reader. This option uses the same report layout as the Personal Report Viewer, but you cannot alter the view once the report is generated. The PRV template that resides on your local workstation determines the format of the report; therefore, any changes made to the report view when last output to PRV affect the layout of the PDF document created. A footer is added to the bottom of the report stating that the PRV format was used when generating the report.
Personal Report Viewer - Display report output on the screen in a customize capable view using the Personal Report Viewer (PRV (Personal Report Viewer) A STORIS printer output option that allows you to customize report results, for example to rearrange data columns.) feature.
Printer - Send the report output to the print spooler.
*Excel Export - Export report output to an Excel® spreadsheet.
ASCII Export - Export report output to an ASCII file.
Report Archive - When you select this option the report is not immediately displayed or printed, but is added as a new archived report. The report is then available in the Review Archived Reports process.
NFS (network file system) Shared Drive - Export the report to a shared network drive.
*If you are running the Summary version of a report (as opposed to the Detail version) and you send the report to the Excel Export option, your report displays all zeros (0) in the totals row. This is because, unlike the other output options whose output is static, the Excel Export option creates an editable spreadsheet file with formulas imbedded, for example formulas to calculate column totals. The other output options calculate the totals before they reach their output destination. Therefore, when you send the summary version to the Excel Export option, the detail rows with all the data are suppressed, and all that remain are the totals rows containing formulas. In the absence of the detail data, the totals rows calculate to zero. As an alternative, you can send the detail version of the report to Excel, then hide the detail rows so all that remain are the totals rows.
If you select Personal Report Viewer (PRV (Personal Report Viewer) A STORIS printer output option that allows you to customize report results, for example to rearrange data columns.) at the Send Output To prompt and then check this box, the system initializes (removes) any saved PRV settings for the report. The report appears using the current corporate or STORIS view (in that order), if they exist. This must be done on each workstation where you want to return to the default view.
Export PathIf you select either the Excel Export, ASCII Export, or Personal Report Viewer options, this field displays the default export path. This path contains the pre-set computer drive and folder location to which the system exports report data. You cannot edit the export path using this process.
If you select NFS (network file server) as your output option, this field displays the user-defined network path-name specified in the Account Statement Cycling Control Settings, as well as the filename specified at the Filename field. Note that you can edit the filename but not the export path using this process.
File NameThe system provides a default file name in this field for the exported data. For Excel Export and ASCII Export options, you can edit this field.
To save your output settings and return to the main screen, click on Save.
