STORIS Messenger Control Settings

For STORIS Messenger users with unread mail, if you check the box at this field, the Send/Review Mail Messages screen appears automatically during the log-in process.  

 For users logging on to the system, if the Message Review Logon field in the User file is

    - enabled, it overrides this field.  

    - disabled, it defers to this field.

Use this field to specify the employees you want to notify when a special-order item is received into inventory. You have the following options:

• none -  notify no employees.

• Location STORIS Mail ID - notify the employee specified at the STORIS Mail ID field in the Warehouse/Store Location Settings for the receiving location. The email appears on the Inbound tab of Send/Review Mail Messages.  

• Salesperson - notify the salesperson associated with the original purchase order. The email sent to the salesperson appears on the Tasks tab in Send/Review Mail Messages.

• Both - notify both the salesperson and the STORIS Mail ID employee.

Use this field to specify the employees you want to notify when you receive a back-ordered item into inventory. You have the following options:

• none - notify no employees.

• Location STORIS Mail ID - notify the employee specified at the STORIS Mail ID field in the Warehouse/Store Location Settings for the receiving location. The email appears on the Inbound tab of Send/Review Mail Messages.

• Salesperson - notify the salesperson associated with the original purchase order. The email sent to the salesperson appears on the Tasks tab in Send/Review Mail Messages.

• Both - notify both the sales and the STORIS Mail ID employee.

For split tickets, the program checks lines with the same type and date. For example, if a customer pick-up line is filled, the program checks all the remaining pick-up lines for that date.  If they are all complete, the program sends the email message.

If multiple delivery dates are present, the program checks all other line items with the same delivery date.  If they are all complete, the program sends the email message.

When you fill a back-order, if this field is set to something other than N, the Warehouse Receiving Update Process sends a mail message to the STORIS Messenger. The message goes to the inbox of the of the mail recipient specified for the receiving location via the STORIS Mail ID field in Warehouse/Store Location Settings.

Use this field to determine to whom STORIS Messenger sends an automatic email notification when a purchase order delivery date has been changed. If enabled, this process checks purchase order delivery date changes in the following routines: Enter a Purchase Order, Acknowledge a Purchase Order, EDI Purchase Order Acknowledgements, EDI Advance Ship Notice, EDI Purchase Order Change Acknowledgement, and EDI Translate EXIM EDI Status Details. The default setting is None.

None - No email is generated. This is the default.

Location Storis Mail ID - An email is sent to the address listed in the STORIS Mail ID field in the Miscellaneous tab of Warehouse/Store Location Settings. A message is sent for each linked sales order for any purchase order line with a delivery date change.

Salesperson - An email is sent to the primary salesperson on the sales order that is linked to the purchase order. A message is sent for each linked sales order for any purchase order line with a delivery date change.

Both - An email is sent to both the above Location Storis Mail ID and the Salesperson fields.

Use this field to indicate the conditions for which you want STORIS Messenger to email the buyer associated with a purchase order.  You have the following options:

• Over-Received

• Partially Received

STORIS Messenger sends the email when you receive the purchase order item into inventory.  Users can view the emails on the Tasks tab of Send/Review Mail Messages.

Enter the users you want to notify when you receive a one-time-buy product into inventory. If you click on the Search button, a menu with the following options appears. You can use these options to select users in the system.

• Staff

• Mail Group Display

If you click on the Action button, a menu with the following options appears. You can use these options to select users in the system.

• Buyers

• Notification by Warehouse

Use this setting to provide email notification to the user defined in this field when EOD/EOM cannot run. A Messenger email is generated that includes the reason the EOD/EOM process did not run. This is used only when Schedule Daily Reports/Generate Monthly Reports is initiated via Schedule a Process. When running daily/monthly processing manually, these types of errors are displayed on the screen.
