EMV Terminal Settings

This is a unique alphanumeric identifier that is assigned to the payment terminal with the Shift4 UTG. Each payment terminal is assigned its own ID that must be registered with STORIS so that it can be sent to the UTG to be processed. This ID may be as long as necessary but only the first 50 characters display.

 There is currently no way to validate the choice of Terminal ID and UTG; therefore, the program must accept the choice as entered.

Click the Arrow to select from a list of available locations to associate with this terminal device. The locations can be either store or warehouse. If the selected location has one UTG assigned to it, that UTG defaults in the UTG field where it cannot be changed; if the selected location has more than one UTG assigned to it, the UTG field becomes active and can be changed.

Use this field to enter a description of the Terminal ID. This information is displayed next to the Terminal ID whenever a selection opportunity is available in STORIS, such as the Payment Terminal. This field can be a maximum of 30 characters. Click the Action button to access the Description Field - Language Translation Entry window.

Use the drop down box to associate a UTG to the selected terminal. The drop down box is available only if more than one UTG is associated with the selected location. If only one UTG is assigned to the selected location, that UTG defaults here and it cannot be edited.

 This field is  active only if using EMV - Shift4; this field is inactive if using EMV - Tender Retail.

There is currently no way to validate the choice of Terminal ID and UTG; therefore, the program must accept the choice as entered.

Use this check box to indicate whether or not the specified payment terminal has the ability to capture signatures digitally. The default setting is checked, indicating that the payment terminal has the ability to capture electronic signatures. If you the check box is blank, it indicates that the payment terminal does not have the capability to capture electronic signatures. Once data is added to the grid, a checked box in this field is indicated by the word "Yes" in the Signature Capture column of the grid; an un-checked box is indicated by the word "No".  

This grid displays the existing EMV terminals. After entering the terminal information in the fields above, click the green Add button to add a new terminal ID to the grid. To edit information, double click a grid item to edit in the above fields. To delete a terminal ID, double click the item within the grid, then click the red Remove button.
