Customer Type Settings

Use this routine to create and maintain customer type codes that you use with the Trade/Designer feature in STORIS. Once you have established these codes, you enter them in the Customer Type field on the Advanced tab of Advanced Customer Settings for accounts that you want to designate as Trade customers.

Customer TypeEnter up to 10 alpha/numeric characters to identify the code of this customer type. If you are using the Trade/Designer feature, this is the code that you enter in Advanced Customer Settings at the Customer Type field. To locate an existing customer type to edit, click the Search button to access the Read-Only Lookup Window.

DescriptionEnter up to 30 characters of text to describe this customer type.  

Customer Type UsageClick the Arrow button and select Trade if this customer type is being used with the Trade/Designer functionality, or select User Defined if you are only using this customer type for reporting purposes.

The system does not permit you to delete a customer type code (via the Delete button on this screen) if it is currently assigned to any customers. Before deleting a code, you should run a Report Builder Formerly called Query Wizard - STORIS feature used to create custom reports report to list customers with the customer type code assigned in the Customer Type field of Advanced Customer Settings. Once you remove the code from those customer records, you can delete the customer type code from the system using this routine.
