Level Pricing Settings

Use these control settings to create pricing levels you can apply to store and warehouse locations and then to individual products. If Level Pricing is active on your system (via the Pricing/Level field on the Pricing and Commissions Tab in the Point of Sale Control Settings), you can create price levels here and then apply them to locations and products. The prices you specify here via the Pricing Level Control Table override the prices you establish in the Pricing Level Table in the Advanced Product Settings.

The grid displays the price levels you are currently entering or editing. A description of each field/column appears below.

Pricing Level - Enter the code you want to use to identify this price level. Your code must be one or two characters. You can specify up to ninety-nine different price codes.
Discount Code - Enter the discount code for this price level. If you click on the Search button, you access the Discount Code lookup, from which you can choose a code. Only codes set up as a percentage type discount are applicable here. To create a new discount code, access the Sales Discount Settings (Sales Discounts) routine.
Base Level - Enter the price level from the Pricing Level Table you want to use as the starting point when calculating this price level. That is, the base level in this routine corresponds to the price level in the Pricing Level Table.
Multiplier - Enter the multiplier for this price level calculation. The system multiplies the amount referenced in the Base Level field by the number here to produce the price for this row. The multiplier can have a maximum of four characters including an integer, a decimal point, and two decimal positions.
Recalculate Prices - To recalculate prices for all products with this price level each time you click on Save in this routine, check this box. The system references the Load Price Levels routine.
