Third Party Accounting FAQs

This topic contains a list of questions frequently asked by STORIS users about Third Party Accounting (QuickBooks interface, etc.). If you click on a question, the answer appears. When processing transfers, the word "ERROR" may display next to the process where the error occurred. Additionally, the following message may display

Error(s) occurred in TPA interface. Please review logs.

To view the error log, run the Report on Third Party Accounting Transmission Errors routine.

This error message may appear the first time you run the Transfer, with QuickBooks closed, following installation of the STORIS Client Interface. Follow these instructions to allow the QB Import application to access your QuickBooks database.

Make sure you have data available for transfer, and then run the Transfer Third Party Accounting Information (TPA Batch Transfer) process in STORIS with QuickBooks OPEN.
Once you initiate the transfer, the QuickBooks Application Certificate screen will appear, asking if you want to allow the QB Import application to access your database.
Select the “Yes, always…” option and if prompted, select to Login as Admin.
After making your selection, click the Continue button. A prompt appears to confirm your choices. Click the Done button.
You need to perform this certification only once for each QuickBooks company you use with STORIS.

Yes, you can "wildcard" your cost centers when establishing your sales and inventory GL accounts in General Ledger Assigned Account Settings. In doing so, the system tracks the activity by location.
