Product GMROI and Turns Export

Access

Use this report routine to view the Gross Margin Return on Investment (GMROI Gross market return on investment.) and "turns" information at the product, product category, product group or vendor levels.

This report generates a large amount of data. For this reason, it is available only as an Excel® or ASCII export.

Important This report does not report on any obsolete products.

ProductEnter the codes of the products you want to include in this report. If you click on the Search button, you access the Search for a Product window from which you can create a list of products for your report. If you click on the Action button An outlet to additional routines and functions. Identified by a lightening bolt image, Action buttons appear next to fields and at the bottom of a screen., you access the Multiple Product Selection Window, from which can select one or more products from a list. If you leave the field blank, you select all products.

GroupIf you select one or more products at the Product field, you cannot access this field. If you select All Products at the Product field, you can use this field to restrict products selected by product group.

To do so, enter the code of the product group for which you want report GMROI information. If you click on the Search button, you can choose from a list of product groups. If you click on the Action button, you access the Multiple Group Selection window, from which can select one or more groups from a list. If you leave the field blank, you select all product groups.

CategoryIf you select one or more products at the Product field, you cannot access this field. If you select All Products at the Product field, you can use this field to restrict products selected by product category.

To do so, enter the code of the product category for which you want report GMROI information. If you click on the Search button, you can choose from a list of product categories. If you click on the Action button, you access the Multiple Category Selection window, from which can select one or more categories from a list. If you leave the field blank, you select all product categories.

VendorIf you select one or more products at the Product field, you cannot access this field. If you select All Products at the Product field, you can use this field to restrict products selected by vendor.

To do so, enter the code of the vendor for which you want report GMROI information. If you click on the Search button, you access the Vendor Cross Reference window from which you can choose a vendor. If you click on the Action button, you access the Multiple Vendor Selection window, from which can select one or more group from a list. If you leave the field blank, you select all vendors.  

Inventory TypeEnter the type of inventory for which you want to report GMROI information. You can report on All inventory, or you can restrict the results of the report to Retail inventory or Parts inventory.

RegionThis field is not in use at this time.

LocationEnter one or more locations for which you want to report GMROI information. If you click on the arrow, you can choose from a list of locations. If you click on the Action button, you access the Multiple Location Selection window, from which can select one or more locations from a list. If you leave the field blank, you select all locations.

Starting PeriodEnter the starting period of the date range for which you want to report GMROI information. If you click on the Arrow, a list of periods appears from which you can choose. The default is the current period.

YearEnter the starting year of the date range for which to report GMROI information. If you click on the Arrow, a list of years appears from which you can choose. The default is the current year.

Ending PeriodEnter the ending period of the date range for which to report GMROI information. If you click on the Arrow, a list of periods appears from which you can choose. The default is the current period.

YearEnter the ending year of the date range for which you want to report GMROI information. If you click on the arrow, you can choose from a list of years. The default is the current year.

Primary SortEnter the primary method by which you want to sort the results of the report criteria specified above . You can choose Vendor, Category, or Group. The default is Vendor.

Secondary SortEnter the secondary method by which you want to sort the results of the report criteria specified above. You can choose Vendor, Category, or Group. However, the selection you make at the Primary Sort field is not available at the Secondary or Tertiary sort fields.

Tertiary SortThis field is active only if you make a selection at the Secondary Sort field. Enter the tertiary method by which you want to sort the results of the report criteria specified above. You can choose either Vendor, Category, or Group, whichever was not selected at the previous sort fields.

The final sort - Vendor Model or Product Key - is determined by the setting at the Sort Report By field in the Point of Sale Control Settings.

Send Output toThe output destination of the report displays.  To change the output destination, click on the Actions button and select Output Settings.

Export PathThis report is available only as an Excel® or ASCII export. If you select either the Excel Export or ASCII Export, this field displays the pre-set computer drive and folder location to which the system exports the report data. You cannot edit the export path using this process.

Once the run-time options have been selected, choose Run to produce the report.
