Quick Sale Control Settings

Use this routine to specify your preferences for Quick Sale Entry. The first group of settings determine how "quick" you want your Quick Sale Entry process to be. For example, do you want to collect customer zip code information from Quick sales? The final few fields deal with printing options.

If you want the system to prompt for the customer's telephone number during Quick Sale Entry, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.

This setting also allows the Phone Number field in the Quick Sale Order Information window to be edited. Otherwise, this field cannot be edited.

If you want the system to prompt for the customer's zip code during Quick Sale Entry, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.

This setting also allows the Zip Code field in the Quick Sale Order Information window to be edited. Otherwise, this field cannot be edited.

To allow users to specify a salesperson other than the "House" salesperson (ZZZ) during Quick Sale Entry, check the box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.

When determining whether to default a salesperson into the Salesperson field In Quick Sales Entry, the Allow Entry of Salesperson field works as follows with the Do Not Default Salesperson field in the Point of Sale Control Settings (Sales Order ACF). If the

Allow Entry of Salesperson field is checked and the Do Not Default Salesperson is checked, the Salesperson field activates with no default value.
Allow Entry of Salesperson field is checked and the Do Not Default Salesperson is unchecked, this field activates and either the "House" salesperson (ZZZ) or the salesperson defined in the Customer record (if any) default into the Salesperson field.
Allow Entry of Salesperson field is unchecked and the Do Not Default Salesperson is checked, the Salesperson field de-activates, the "House" salesperson (ZZZ) defaults in, and the system ignores setting at the Do Not Default Salesperson field.
Allow Entry of Salesperson field is unchecked and the Do Not Default Salesperson field is unchecked, the Salesperson field de-activates and the "House" (ZZZ) salesperson defaults in.

In other words, if the Allow Entry of Salesperson field is unchecked, the system ignores the Do Not Default Salesperson and the "House" salesperson defaults into the Salesperson field.

Use this field to require that users provide their user ID and password before creating or editing a Enter a Quick Sale order. This feature applies to Entry routines only, and not to View routines.

If this setting is checked, the Transaction Entry - User Log In Screen appears immediately after a user specifies a product. To continue, users must enter a valid user ID and password into that screen. Once a user enters a valid user ID and password, those credentials override the log-on user's credentials for the current order so that the current user becomes associated with the order and the current user's security settings and location restrictions (if any) apply. The Order Comments Log records the user who makes the changes.

Once the user saves the order, the log-on user's credentials again take precedence in the system. However, all edits to the order remain associated with the user who made them, and if a user attempts to access that order again, the Transaction Entry - User Log In Screen will appear, even for users who previously edited the order.

If your system is set for cash balancing by cashier, this field is inactive.

This field also appears in the Point of Sale Control Settings for sales orders, exchanges, returns, and dollar adjustments; and the Service Control Settings for service orders.

In order to print thermal/slip print version of sales order forms ("FAST CASH" Form Type in Forms Designer), both the "Print Receipt on Slip Printer" and "Forms Designer" settings need to be active.

The following fields are active only if you check the box at the Print Receipt on Slip Printer field.
