Tariff Settings

Use this routine to create tariff records you can link to products and/or vendors as landed add-on costs. You can also use the Load Import Tariff routine to import a tariff file into STORIS.
If you attempt to manually delete a tariff record , the system scans the Product file to determine if the tariff code is in use. If so, a warning message appears. If you choose to delete the tariff code, the system removes the code from all products with which it is associated.
Tariff CodeEnter the code of the tariff record you want to edit. If you click on the Search button, a list of tariff records appears from which you can choose. To create a new tariff record, enter a code of numeric characters in the following format where 9 equals any number:
9999.99.9999
As indicated by the ". . " that appears in the field before you make an entry, the system enters the dots for you.
DescriptionEnter or edit the description of the tariff specified at the above field. You can enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters.
PercentageEnter the tariff percentage you want the system to apply when calculating tariff amounts.
Effective DateEnter the date on which the tariff becomes effective. If you leave this field blank, the system assumes the tariff is in effect.
