Tariffs in STORIS

STORIS allows you to associate tariff codes with products so that when you receive the products into inventory, the system applies the tariff amount as a landed add-on cost.  If you want to use tariff codes, contact STORIS before you begin your setup.

Setting up tariffs for use in STORIS involves the following steps:

  1. Build a list of tariff records.  You can build tariff records manually in the Tariff Settings, or you can import them electronically using the following steps:

  1. Download tariff codes onto your PC in the form of a .txt file.

  2. Import selected tariff codes from your PC into STORIS.

  1. In the Costing Control Settings, enter a landed cost add-on label for your tariff, for example TARIFF.  This label identifies the cost throughout the system.  Next, check the Active box next to the label you entered.  This step enables the landed cost add-on for use throughout the system.

  2. Contact STORIS to install the Add-on Calculation Process needed to calculate tariffs for imported products.

  3. Apply tariffs to individual products using the Import Tariff Fields in the Advanced Product Settings.
