Local Call Exchange Settings

Access

This routine works with the iCall feature, in conjunction with the Local Area Code Format field on the General tab in the iCall Voice Processing Control Settings.  Use this screen to create list of telephone exchange exceptions to the setting at that field.

For example, assume the Local Area Code Format field in the iCall Voice Processing Control Settings is set for No Area Code dialed for local numbers.  You can then setup exchanges within the area code that require the area code be dialed.   Assume you set the Dial Area Code exception type to include 752, 753, and 754 as exchanges using the area code.  If any exchanges within your area code require you dial a ‘1’ plus the area code, you would then create a Dial 1+Area Code exception list and add those exchanges that list.

If you live in an area where you dial area codes locally, set the Local Area Code Format field to Dial Area Code and create exceptions for No Area Code and Dial 1+Area Code.  The same follows if you set the Local Area Code Format field to Dial 1+Area Code.
