BAI Code Settings

Use this file with the bank reconciliation feature to specify descriptions of Banking Administration Institute (BAI) codes so that when the codes appear on a report, a description of the code appears next to it. This file contains three-digit BAI codes and the codes come delivered with STORIS. You cannot add or change the codes.

Enter the transaction type that you want to associate with the current BAI code. If you click on the Arrow, a list of transaction types appears from which you can choose.

The Automatic Reconciliation process uses this field to assist in reconciling transactions. If the BAI codes from the banks's transaction record match the transaction type, an automatic reconciliation occurs for the transaction. If not, the system writes an error message to the Report Reconciliation Errors routine.

This field is used only with the Automatic Reconciliation process.
