GL Account Entry Screen

This screen appears at many GL Account fields, for example in the Update GL Postings routine. Use this screen to specify a default GL account for the current field or record.

Wild Carding

To have the system wild card the cost center associated with the location at which activity occurs, select "Wildcard Cost Center" at the Cost Center field. When posting to GL, the system reads the cost center associated with the location and appends it to the root account. This way, you can track GL activity by the location's cost center.

Cost Centers

When you create a location record, STORIS creates a cost center automatically. If using TPA (Third-Party Accounting) Of or relating to an outside accounting software system such as QuickBooks® and used to interface STORIS data with such a system. The STORIS TPA interface is used as an alternative to STORIS Accounting., you must manually set up a matching cost center as a Class in the third-party accounting software for each cost center in STORIS.
