Customer Service Maintenance - User File
Access
Use this screen to establish customer service parameters
for individual users. This routine is available only if you have
purchased and activated the Service
module.
User IDThe user ID specified in
the User file appears.
Service UserTo allow
this user to act as service coordinator or technician for service orders,
check the box. If you leave this field blank, the other fields on
this tab remain inaccessible.
To indicate whether users can enter full service orders or only pending
service orders, use the Enter service
orders with scheduled/estimated/pending status field on the Create a User/Group
Actions - Service Security screen. (A check at this field indicates
that the user can access/enter all fields in service order entry.)
Service LocationUse this
field to designate a default service (store/warehouse) location for this
user. The system references this field when auto-assigning service
orders.
Auto-Assign Service OrderTo automatically
assign "un-assigned" service orders to this employee during
the End-of-Day process, check the box. The End-of-Day process updates
the Coordinator field in Service
Order Entry. Otherwise, leave the box blank.
Labor RateEnter
the default hourly labor rate (if any) you want to assign when this user
is the service technician for an order. The labor rate entered here overrides
the labor rates specified at the Default Labor Rate specified in the Service
Control Settings and the Selling Price field in the Advanced
Product Settings.
Approximate Labor
CostUse this field to establish
a default approximate costed value for hourly labor services. If you enter
a labor cost for this service technician, the cost you enter here overrides
the costs set at the Default Labor Cost Per Hour field in the Service
Control Settings and in the Replacement Cost field in the Advanced
Product Settings.
