Reputation Management Overview

You can set up a reputation management provider (RMP) via STORIS in order to receive feedback from your customers. Examples of RMPs are Podium, Birdeye, Yotpo, and Reputation.com. A license is required to be purchased in order to use this service. This service is part of STORIS so there is nothing additional to load onto the client workstation.

The RMP gathers cell phone and/or email information from the customer during the initial Enter a Sales Order or Enter a Quick Sale process. Depending on the preference of the RM, the cell or email may receive preference if both are collected. If the order is subsequently updated, this information is not sent again. The information first goes into a queue to be sent during RMP phantom processing. If the data is not permitted to be sent (e.g. the OK to Solicit setting is not checked or no location authorization token exists in the RMP Location ID window), the data is still collected but is deleted by the phantom.

This process takes into account federal and state laws and regulations as when dealing with personal customer information, such as California "paid and taken" law.
