Use this inquiry to view EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) An optional feature of the STORIS system used to electronically transmit purchase orders to vendors and receive acknowledgements and invoices from vendors. transmission comments, including start times and error messages for EDI communications sessions.

Important! Check this log every day on which communications sessions are completed! If errors occurred, they may prevent the system from updating the appropriate purchase order records. In addition, errors may occur during a session that can only be seen in the log. If the transmission was run as part of the Day-Ending process, you should also check the message log obtained at the conclusion of Day-Ending processing.  

Transmit DateSelect the transmission date for which to view comments.  If you click on the Calendar Icon, a calendar appears from which you can choose a date.  Following entry of the Transmit Date, press Enter or Tab to view comments. The system displays the transmit comments for the selected date in the Comments text box.

Display CommentsOnce you specify a date for which comments exist, press Enter or Tab When a routine is too large to fit on one screen, it is separated into one or more tabs, so called because they resemble the tabs on filing folders..  The transmit comments display in this field. The date, time, and operator’s initials display with each transmit comment.  Report any unresolved errors to STORIS immediately.
