Many fields in STORIS require you to enter a date. Most of these fields include a date-entry tool you can use to help you identify a date. When you click on the calendar icon next to the field, a calendar displaying the current month appears. You can select any date in the month by clicking on an available date in the calendar.
When you click on a calendar icon, either the regular or the delivery date tool appears, depending the context of the current screen. Both tools are described below.
enter it directly into the field using the MM/DD/YY format, or
click on the calendar icon, then click an available date in the calendar.
Most date fields include the regular date-entry tool shown below.
When you access the regular calendar icon, the current month displays. Click on any date to select that date. The current date highlights in gray, and the date currently selected at the field highlights in blue. To change months, either
click on the forward or backward arrow buttons at the top of the calendar or
click on the month/year displayed at the top-center of the calendar. A list of months appears with the currently selected month highlighted in blue. Select a month to display the calendar for that month.
To change years, click on the month/year at the top-center of the calendar to display a list of months for the current year, then click on the year at the top-center of the calendar to display a list of years from which you can choose. If you then click on the forward or backward arrow buttons at the top of the calendar, a list of the 10 future or previous years appears from which you can choose a year.
If the date field you are editing requires a delivery date, the delivery date-entry tool (shown below) appears when you click on the calendar icon, displaying the available dates for the selected route code that is defined in Logistical Route Settings. Route capacity limits also affect the availability of dates for delivery; more information about this is found in the Route Capacity Settings and Route Capacity Control Settings topics.
A Red "X" appears over unavailable delivery dates. All other dates are available for delivery. If a line item has not been delivered, the calendar displays the original date that the line item was scheduled for delivery with a 'do not enter' symbol. This symbol is visible and the date is available for selection until the user selects a new date and adds the line item to the grid. Once the line item has been added to the grid, the original date is no longer visible and is not available for selection.
To change months, click on the forward or backward arrow buttons at the top of the calendar. If an arrow is dimmed, you cannot select it. You can also change months by clicking on the month/year at the top-center of the screen and selecting a month from the list that appears. Note that only the months remaining in the current year are available for selection using this method.
To change years, click on the year label at the top of the screen twice and select a year from the list that appears.
