Desjardins Configuration

The requirements for configuring a Desjardins line of credit card payment type are unique because they qualify the payment type as using the consumer’s line of reserved credit. Use this routine to enter the additional information required by and supplied by Desjardins in order to process Accord D transactions using this credit card payment type. This information describes to Desjardins what type of payment plan is being used, the plan number, and a number of other parameters.

Use this field to indicate if the type of financing associated with this payment type is for deferred payments over a number of months or for equal payments over a number of months. Check the box to indicate that the payment type includes a number of deferred payments. If you check this box, you must also enter the number of months in the Grace Period in Months field.

Leave the box blank to indicate the payment type includes an equal number of payments over a period of months only (no deferred payments). If you leave the box blank, you must enter the number of monthly payments in the Number of Payments in Months field.

Use this mandatory setting to indicate the one or more store locations where this payment type can be used. Click the Search button to access the Multiple Selection Lookup Window or click the Action button to access the Multiple Location Selection Window. The locations you select at this field must be configured as Tender Retail locations using a Desjardins server.

At this mandatory field indicate the number assigned to this Accord D plan, as supplied by Desjardins. The field accepts up to three characters.

If you checked the box at Deferred Payments, you must use this field to indicate the number of months that payments are to be deferred for this plan. Only a numeric value from 1-99 is accepted in this field.

If you left the Deferred Payments check box blank, you must use this field to indicate the number of monthly payments that are required on purchases using this payment plan. Only a numeric value from 1-99 is accepted in this field.

When finished entering the information on this screen, click the OK button to save your changes and return to the Credit Card Payment Settings screen.
