Purchase Order Replenishment FAQs

This topic contains a list of questions frequently asked by STORIS users about the Purchase Order Replenishment process. If you click on a question, the answer appears. To create purchase orders for quantities needed to fill open sales orders, use the Replenish Inventory for Current Back Order Needs routine. In this way, you can replenish your inventory on an "as-sold" basis and also replenish based on minimum stock levels established via Warehouse Inventory Settings.

To replenish inventory based on sales rates and user-defined criteria, use the Replenish Stock Inventory Based on Sales Rate routine. If you use this routine, you can generate purchase orders for additional quantities needed (based on sales rates), as well as quantities needed to fill open orders. You must set up replenishment locations via Warehouse/Store Location Settings in order to use this feature.

Neither of the replenishment processes described above consider unlinked purchase orders when determining whether replenishment is needed.

STORIS' Automatic Purchase Order Replenishment process runs during Generate Daily Reports (End of Day) to generate purchase orders automatically based on user-defined criteria.
