Complete the Transfer Manifest Process

Use this routine to perform the last step in the manifest process after all merchandise has been physically transferred to the new location and the delivery personnel have returned with the original manifest document. Use this process to:

• record the actual transfer of the items on the manifest

• record pieces not transferred

• change the transferred quantities

• reschedule items not transferred for later transfer

This process checks your user security settings (Create a User/Group Actions - Logistics Security) to see if you are allowed to Complete Merchandise Transfer and Complete Transfer from Receiving Location Only.  

Manifest Completion Exceptions

Any item on a manifest is capable of creating a manifest exception (for example, an item not delivered or a customer return not picked up). If your system is tracking manifest completion exceptions (via the Retain manifest Exceptions for _ Months field on the Logistics tab of the Point of Sale Control Settings), then the system adds each exception to the ROUTE.EXCEPTION file, which you can use in the Report Builder to generate reports about manifest completion exceptions.

WarehouseEnter the location code of the store or warehouse from which the merchandise was transferred. Click the arrow button to select a location from the drop-down list of available locations.

Note that here and at any other Location field, the locations you see (that is, the list of locations available to you) may be affected by Regional Processing restrictions.

DateEnter the scheduled transfer date for the transfer manifest being completed. Click the calendar icon to select a date from the drop-down calendar.

RouteIndicate the transfer route for the manifest being completed. You can click the Search button to locate a route code using the Route Window. The entry of a route code in this field is mandatory.

TypeThe type of manifest (Delivery, Transfer, Service) being completed displays.

TruckFor transfer manifest completions, this field is not available. Third-party mapping is not used with transfer processing.

CarrierThe shipping (freight) company used to transfer the merchandise displays.

COD, Collected, Bank These fields are not applicable to Transfer Manifest Completion.

New Storage Location

DocumentEnter (or select from the grid) a transfer document number to access the Order Completion Details screen, where you can view and edit details on the pieces on the transfer. Use the detail screen to record the pieces actually transferred and to reschedule and record any items that were not transferred.
