Credit Hold Codes List (AR)

The following is a list of AR credit hold codes used in STORIS.  STORIS automatically applies and/or removes AR credit holds based on your responses to the system settings described below.

To view a list of orders on credit hold, use the Report Open Orders on Credit Hold routine.  To manually remove a credit hold, use the Update Receivables Credit Approvals routine.

AR credit hold codes are distinct from both AP hold codes and from purchase orders placed on hold via the On Hold field in Enter a Purchase Order.

Credit Hold Code

Description

C1

The customer has exceeded their credit limit established at the Credit Limit field on the Receivables tab in the Customer Settings. If Extended Receivables (includes revolving and installment) are not active, all orders exceeding the credit limit can be placed on C1 hold. If Installment and Extended Receivables are active, only orders that have been financed can be placed on C1 hold.

C2

At the time of order entry, the customer had an open A/R balance whose age exceeded the number of days specified at the Past Due Days field in the Point of Sale Control Settings.

C3

At the time of order entry, the customer had a period of inactivity (for example, no payments or purchases) exceeding the number of days specified at the Last Activity field in the Point of Sale Control Settings.

C4

Manually placed credit hold on all open orders for the customer. To manually place a credit hold for a customer on all their open sales orders, service orders, and debit exchanges, check the box at the Place Credit Hold field in Customer Credit and Scoring Information.

C5

The Use for Pre-Authorizations field is checked in Credit Card Payment Settings for the payment type. This is a Preauthorized Deposit meaning that the order is ready to be processed and the funds are committed to the order on the customer's credit card via a pre-authorization code. The funds have not yet been received by the merchant and the goods have not yet been moved out of the warehouse.

If STORIS attempts to capture a pre-authorization code but receives a decline, the credit card transaction is treated like any other decline. An order placed on C5 hold has the pre-authorization code saved and the order can be saved like any other order in STORIS. An order placed on C5 hold can be deleted via a void request from STORIS.

D1

If a check appears at the "Past Due / Open Ord Hold" field in the Accounts Receivables Control Settings, the End-of-Day (EOD) process places on hold all orders for customers with an open past-due balance.

D2

1) In the Accounts Receivable Control Settings (Deposits tab), if the Maximum Balance field contains an amount, and the Over Maximum Balance field is set to D2 Credit Hold, the system places on hold all orders with an open balance exceeding the amount in the Maximum Balance field.  The system removes the credit hold when the customer reduces their balance to an amount below the maximum allowed.

2) If you specify minimum deposit requirements, the system places on hold any orders that do not meet one or more of the specified minimum deposit requirements.

E1

If the Exchange on Hold at Entry field is active in the Point of Sale Control Settings, the system puts exchange orders on E1 Hold status pending approval from a user authorized via the Approve E1 credit holds placed on customer exchanges field in Create a User/Group Actions - Sales Security settings. Once a user approves an exchange, the system does not place it E1 Hold again.

F1

The revolving amount financed exceeds the customer's credit limit. See the Customer Credit Review field in Revolving Payment Plan Settings and Maximum Credit per Transaction $ field in Revolving Receivables Control Settings.

F2

Installment contract credit hold.

F3

An amount on the order is being financed, but the third-party financing has not been authorized.

F4

If the Approval Review Required field is checked for a finance provider in the Finance Provider Settings, the system prevents all orders financed through that provider from being invoiced until the credit hold is removed. F4 credit holds can be removed only by users with a check at the Approve F4 credit holds placed on financed orders field in Create a User/Group Actions - Receivables Security settings. Qualified users can remove the credit hold via the Reviewed field in the Update Financing Credit Approvals routine.

If a customer attempts to add financing after initially placing an order, the system checks for previous financing associated with the order (that is, multiple deposits).  If found (for example, a deposit or balance payment), and the F4 credit hold has been removed, the system does not put the order on hold a second time.

F5

If a first payment needs to be paid for an Installment or RTO plan prior to the customer taking possession of the merchandise, the dollar amount required is returned in the authorization response. The order is placed on F5 credit hold until the payment is applied.

I1

The order was entered via the eSTORIS web site and the credit card has not yet been authorized.  Once the system receives the authorization, it removes the I1 credit hold.

I2

The order was entered via the eSTORIS web site and authorized, and the Credit Hold Authorized Deliveries field is enabled in the Web Control Settings.

T1

If your alternate tax provider returns an error and STORIS receives no tax amounts, STORIS places the order on credit hold. This code applies only to the Alternate Tax Interface (ATI) add-on feature.
