Standard Finance Credit Application - Primary

• Finance Credit Application > at Finance Provider field, enter code of provider and click Continue.

The Customer Number, Name, and Address indicated on the Finance Credit Application screen display. You cannot edit these fields.

If you accessed this screen from Finance Credit Application via order entry, the order number is displayed. You cannot edit this field.

Enter the social security number of the applicant you entered on the Finance Credit Application screen. Entry must be numeric and nine characters in length.

Enter the birth date of the primary applicant in mm/dd/yyyy format. The primary applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have not yet reached their 110^th birthday.   

Enter the applicant's home phone number. This entry must be numeric and 10 digits in length.

Enter the applicant's cell phone number. This entry must be numeric and 10 digits in length.

Enter the applicant's driver license number. This entry allows up to 25 alphanumeric characters. No validation occurs.

Enter the code representing the state where the driver's license was issued. The entry must be a valid state as defined in the Sales Tax Settings. Click the Search button to access the Read-Only Lookup Window.

Enter the date of expiration for the primary applicant's driver's license.

Initially the ‘None Selected’ option is displayed. If entry is required, click the Arrow button to select the marital status of the applicant.

Use this field to indicate the birth name of the primary applicant's mother. This field allows up to 30 characters. 

Enter the applicant's email address. The entry must contain a valid format for an email address (i.e. must contain ‘@’ and ‘.’).  The entry allows up to 50 alphanumeric characters.

The following applies if the "Customer Entry - Warn if Primary Email exists for other Customers" setting is checked in the Customer tab of Point of Sale Control Settings: If an email address is added or changed, the new email address is checked to determine if it has been assigned to any other customer account as a primary email address. If the email address already exists, a warning message appears that can be dismissed.

Initially the box is unchecked. To indicate that the applicant has a checking account, check this box.

Indicate the language that should be used in communications with the applicant. Click the Arrow button to select a language from the drop-down list of options defined in Finance Provider Settings. English is the default at this field.  

Enter the amount of credit this applicant has requested. Enter in whole dollars, from 0-999999.

If the applicant is adding a credit protection plan for their finance account, check this box. Otherwise, leave the box blank.

If the merchant and provider have agreed, check the box at this field to indicate the applicant is applying for a Master Card credit card account in addition to applying for financing of this sale. Otherwise, leave this field blank.

Check the box to indicate that the application has been signed by the applicant. If entry is mandatory, you cannot save this screen until the box is checked.

Check the box to indicate that a co-applicant is being added to the application. Otherwise, leave this field blank.

This button is active if you check the Co-applicant check box. Click this button to access the entry fields for the co-applicant's information. Initially, the Update Co-Applicant Personal Information Screen displays. When finished entering information on that screen, the Finance Application Entry - Co-Applicant screen appears. When finished entering the co-applicant's information, the primary applicant screen displays again.

The initial default for this field is None Selected. Click the Arrow button and select the type of residence for this applicant. Options are Own, Rent, Parents/Relative, and Other. If this field is required, you must select something other than None Selected at this field.

Enter the number of years and months that this applicant has lived in their current residence. The Years field accepts entries of 0-99 and the Months field accepts 0-11.

Enter the applicant's monthly housing payment (rent, mortgage, property taxes, etc.) in whole dollars. This must be a numeric entry of 0-99999.

Enter the remaining amount owed on the applicant's current mortgage.

Enter the value of the applicant's home.

Enter the first line of the applicant's previous address. Up to 30 characters can be entered.

Enter the second line of the applicant's previous address. Up to 30 characters can be entered.  

Enter the zip code for the applicant's previous address. Your entry is validated against the valid zip codes defined via Individual Zip Codes. If the zip code you enter is not found on the system, a prompt appears asking if you want to create a new zip code. If the zip code you enter is found, the city and state fill in based on the zip code entered here.

The city defaults from the zip code, but can be changed. No validation of the city entry occurs. Up to 15 characters can be entered in this field.

If a zip code has been entered the state defaults from the zip code. Entry in this field must be a valid state code as defined in Sales Tax Settings. If you click the Search button you access a Read-Only Lookup Window from which you can select a state code.

Enter the number of years and months that this applicant lived in their previous residence. The Years field accepts entries of 0-99 and the Months field accepts 0-11.

Click the Arrow button and select the applicant's current employment status.

Enter up to 30 characters to indicate this applicant's job title.

Enter 1-30 alphanumeric characters to indicate the name of the applicant's employer.

Enter the applicant's work phone number. The entry must be numeric and 10 digits in length.

Enter the number of years and months that this applicant has worked for the current employer. The Years field accepts entries of 0-99 and the Months field accepts 0-11.

Enter the applicant's income in whole dollars. A numeric entry of 0-999999 is allowed.

Specify whether the applicant's income is a monthly or annual amount.  The default for this field is Monthly.  

Enter 1-30 alphanumeric characters to indicate the name of the applicant's previous employer.

Enter the number of years and months that this applicant worked for the previous employer. The Years field accepts entries of 0-99 and the Months field accepts 0-11.

Enter the name of the reference for this applicant. The entry allows up to 30 characters.  

Enter text describing the type of reference (personal or business, for example) being entered. You can enter up to 15 alphanumeric characters.  

Enter the phone number for this reference. The entry must be numeric and 10 digits in length.

Enter the first line of the reference's address. Up to 30 characters can be entered.

Enter the second line of the reference's address. Up to 30 characters can be entered.

Enter the zip code for the reference. Your entry is validated against the valid zip codes defined via Individual Zip Codes. If the zip code you enter is not found on the system, a prompt appears asking if you want to create a new zip code. If the zip code you enter is found, the city and state fill in based on the zip code entered here.

More than one reference can be entered. As each one is entered, click the Plus button to add it to the grid. The grid displays the Name, Type, and Phone number for each reference added. Double-click to select a line from the grid to edit or remove the reference.
