Update a Customer Address
(Customer Address Change)
Access
Use this program to change address and phone information
for existing customers. Information entered/modified using this process
updates the customer
record. You cannot enter new customers using this process.
Customer CodeEnter the code of the customer
whose address information you want to change. If you click on the Search button, the Search for a Customer
screen appears from which you can select a customer code. After
you specify a valid customer number has been entered, the name, address,
phone, and email information display.
The
customers you can access at this and other Customer fields may be restricted
by Regional
Processing.
NameThe customer
name defaults from the customer record.
Address 1, Address 2, Zip Code, City, StateThe address
fields default from the customer record.
Home Phone, Work Phone, Work ExtThe home
and work phone information (if any) default from the customer record.
Email AddressThe customer's
email address (if any) defaults from the customer record.
The following applies if
the "Customer Entry - Warn if Primary Email exists for other Customers"
setting is checked in the Customer tab of Point
of Sale Control Settings: If an email address is added or changed,
the new email address is checked to determine if it has been assigned
to any other customer account as a primary email address. If the email
address already exists, a warning message appears that can be dismissed.
