Use this option to enter comments for the current transaction. To attach a comment to an order, you do not have to select a line item. Order comments appear on print forms for many order types including the following:
If the comments do not appear on your print form, you can use the Forms Designer to add them to the form.
If you access the transaction via
the Entry version of the routine, you can edit or add text. If the title
bar says "Read-Only"
or "View", you cannot
edit comments in the text box. Also, you cannot edit comments if you access
the transaction via a report or inquiry.
If you access this screen via the COM
Order Entry/Maintenance screen, the comments you enter display in
the Instructions field on the associated purchase
order as well as on the printed COM purchase order.
If the comments do not appear on your print form, you can use the
Forms
Designer to add them to the form.
To attach a comment to a line item, use the Enter
Line Item Comments screen.
