Screen Colors

You can set your default screen colors to compliment the colors of your custom image or your organization's overall color scheme. STORIS uses the Windows® default color of blue.

Windows XP® Settings

To view or edit your available screen color options in XP, do the following:

  1. Right-click on your desktop.

  2. Select Properties from the menu that appears.

  3. Click on the Appearance tab on the Display Properties screen.

On the Appearance tab, the Color Scheme field gives you a few options for overall color scheme. If you click on the Advanced button, you can select color options for specific screen items such as buttons or title bars. Use the Item field to select a screen item, and the Color 1 and Color 2 fields to select the colors.

Windows Vista® Settings

  1. Right-click on your desktop, and click on the Personalize/Windows Appearance/Settings option.  

  2. Select "Open classic appearance properties for more colors”

  3. Click the Effects button and activate the “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” option.

  4. Select “Clear Type” from the drop down.  

  5. Click OK however many times it takes to save your settings.
