Level Price Rounding

When loading price levels, the system rounds off level price calculations using the following rules:

  1. The initial calculation is done using a 2 digit [cents] rounding factor with a 5/4 normal rounding.

  2. The next calculation is done using a 5/4 normal rounding function to get the Selling Price to a whole dollar number. Thus, the system rounds all prices are rounded to whole dollars.

  3. The next calculation is an adjustment based upon the unit dollar amount as follows:

a. If the unit dollar amount is 0, replace it with 0.

b. If the unit dollar amount is 1 to 5, replace it with 5.

c. If the unit dollar amount is 6 to 9, replace it with 9.

Thus, all adjusted selling prices are in whole dollars and end in a 0, 5 or 9.

Example

For example, assume pricing level two for a given product is 100.00.
