Warehouse/Store Receiving Settings

Access

Use this routine to create and maintain a receiving calendar for each of the locations where you receive purchase orders. For each day of the week, and optionally for specific dates, you use this screen to indicate when merchandise PO receiving is active or inactive at this location.

If the date of receipt, regardless of whether it was determined via the ATP web service or the standard hierarchy, falls on a day in which receiving is not scheduled (based on this receiving calendar), the next day that receiving is scheduled to occur is used as the date of receipt.

Important!  The settings on this calendar do not actually prevent purchase orders from being received on specific days or dates that you indicate are "closed" to receiving. These settings are used when calculating the projected receipt date of merchandise for the purpose of providing a default scheduled delivery date on purchase orders.

Exception Dates

Use the following settings to override the Days to Receive settings on specific dates. You can indicate that receiving is active or inactive on specific dates. For example, you check the Days to Receive box for Monday, indicating that you normally receive PO's on Mondays. However, the warehouse is scheduled to close for Memorial Day on May 26. Use the Date field to select May 26 and un-check the box at Receive to indicate that receiving is inactive for that specific date.
