Tax Class Settings

Use this routine to enter or edit tax classes.  You can use tax classes to group your products into tax statuses, for example taxable and non-taxable. Note that you can use tax classes with Vertex®.

Alternate Tax Interface

The Vertex-O tab in the Alternate Tax Interface Control Settings contains fields in which you can specify tax classes for one or more of the following:

• delivery charges

• installation charges

• restocking charges

Tax ClassEnter the code of the tax class you want to create or edit.  You can enter up to ten characters.  If you click on the Search button, a list of existing codes appears from which you can choose.  

DescriptionEnter a description of the selected tax class, using up to 30 alphanumeric characters.
