Use this routine to remove either a line item or the entire order from the picking file. The changes you make are added to the audit file for the selected order. Once you indicate the order number, lines that are in picking display in the grid. You then select the lines, one at a time, to be removed from picking.
This routine may be affected by Regional Processing restrictions. That is, you may not have access to all customers and locations.
Order NumberEnter the number of the order you want to remove from the picking file.
The grid display can be restricted by scheduled date. If only one scheduled date exists for the order, the scheduled date displays here and the field is not active. If there is more than one scheduled delivery/pickup date for an order, you can click the Arrow button and select either a scheduled date or All Dates from the list.
Deliver From, Deliver To, Route Code, Stop Time Once you enter the order number, the customer and delivery/pickup information display from the order.
The type of order (D=Delivery; P=Pickup; S=Split; T=Transfer) is indicated once you specify an order number.
Use this field to restrict the grid display to line items on the order that are designated as Delivery or Customer Pickup, or select Both to display both types of order lines. The default setting for this field is Both, but you can change it.
To remove all items on the order from picking, click the Actions button and select the Remove All Line Items option. A message displays stating that all lines have been removed from picking. When you click OK in the message window, the process returns to the Order Number prompt where you can enter another order number or exit the process.
The following grid columns are displayed.
Ref# - This column lists the line number where this product appears on the sales order.
Product - The product code from the sales order displays in this column.
Type - The Fulfillment Method of the order line displays in this column. DLVY = Delivery; CPU = Customer Pickup
Date - The picking date of the line item displays.
Status - The delivery status of the order line (SCH, EST) is displayed.
Serial Numbers - This is the serial/reference number of the piece that is assigned to this order.
P - An asterisk in the Pick column indicates that this product is sitting in a Pick status and has not been picked yet.
I - An asterisk in the Interim column indicates that this product has been picked, is in an interim status, and has not been moved to prep or stage.
R - An asterisk in the PRep column indicates that the piece has been picked and moved to a prep status.
S - An asterisk in the Stage column indicates that the piece has been picked and moved to a stage status.
L - An asterisk in the Load column indicates that the piece has been moved from a stage status to a load status.
Pick Status - The picking status (INTRANSIT, Complete) of the line item displays. This column displays the word “Complete” only if the piece being moved is currently in a Stage or Load status.
Location - This column indicates the current location of the piece.
Select Pieces to Remove
To remove an item from picking, double-click on the item in the grid. The asterisk disappears from the P column. To remove all items from picking, click the Actions button and select the Remove All Line Items option.
Once removed from picking, pieces must flow through the normal pick process again in order to place them in picking.
Removing In-Transit Pieces
If removing an INTRANSIT item from picking, the RF Remove From Picking Detail screen displays, and prompts for the New Location. Indicate the storage bin where the selected INTRANSIT piece is to be moved when removed from picking. If an entire order needs to be removed, you must remove the INTRANSIT pieces individually first, before you can remove the other non in-transit pieces.
When floats are in use and the in-transit piece being removed from picking is associated with a float with different products, only the piece being removed is un-associated with that float. If the in-transit piece being removed is the only piece on a float, then the float is cleared and is available for use in picking.
If removing a bulk in-transit item, the entire bulk quantity listed in the grid is moved out of in-transit.
