Telephone MaskUse this routine to create and edit multiple phone pattern masks for each country defined in the system. Once you define the telephone masks on this screen, you can enter phone numbers that match any of the patterns you added for the specified country.
When entering phone numbers for customers, the zip code is used to determine the set of valid patterns based on the corresponding country. For vendors, the country entered determines the set of valid patterns allowed. If you change zip codes or country codes for existing customers or vendors, and the patterns do not match or do not fully overlap, the system notifies you that the existing phone numbers are being cleared and you must enter the new phone numbers with the correct patterns.
