Shift4 eCommerce Location Authorization

Warehouse/Store Location Settings > Credit Card page > Actions button > Shift4 eCommerce Location Authorization

Use this routine to enter and validate the information necessary to generate a Client Access Token to be provided to Shift4. The Client Access Token generated here is used for the current warehouse/store when eCommerce transactions are made. Shift4 requires that STORIS provide this unique token in order to identify the credit card transactions correctly to their hosts for processing.

This display-only field is the unique ID assigned to the customer by Shift4 and is used along with the Shift4 Auth Token to form a unique string identifying the specific customer and location.

This display-only field shows the unique identifier string that the STORIS interface sends to Shift4 to identify itself as a certified application. This information is displayed for Shift4 diagnostic purposes.

Indicate the serial number provided to you by Shift4. This is used to identify the location in the Shift4 database.

Indicate the authorization token assigned to the specific location and provided to you by Shift4 when they license the location. This field can be edited.

This field displays the unique string that is used in every message sent to Shift4 from the specific location for accounting and licensing purposes. If this field is blank, use the Get Access Token button below to obtain a client access token. If a token exists and the Get Access Token button is clicked, a message appears indicating that this action replaces the current Access Token and provides the option to continue or not continue.

If a token exists and the Get Access Token button is clicked, a message appears indicating that this action replaces the current Access Token and you have the option to continue or not continue.

When you click this button, a message is sent to the Shift4 data center, requesting that a client access token be created using the client GUID, Shift4 auth token, and the processor.
