Use this screen to manually close STORIS Up system activity and sign out salespersons for a selected day. For the system to process records properly, you must perform an End of Day Closeout - even if all salespersons have already checked out individually. Note that if you do not close out a day manually, the Up System closes it out automatically via the Auto Cleanup process as soon as activity occurs on a subsequent day. Your settings in the Maintain Up System Report Headings routine determine how the system handles this.
When you click on the EOD Close button in the STORIS Up system, the Run EOD (end of day) screen appears. The Run EOD screen lists all days for which open Up System transactions exist. Check the box next to the day you want to close. The system moves to the History file all transactions from the entered date and dates prior. For example, if you have 3 separate days with open data, you can either:
run three separate day-ending processes, earliest to most recent, or
run a single day-ending process for the current date, moving all three day’s data to the History file at once.
This option is available for users with Up System Administrator and Up System Editing clearance (specified at the Up System fields on the Security tab in the User file).
If the End of Day Closeout process finds a salesperson who is still checked out with an action code that indicates
- a potential sale, an error message appears and the EOD process halts.
- no sale is possible, the process moves the salesperson back into the available queue and assigns a status of Left for Day.
