Reassign Sales Leads
Access
Use this routine to reassign one or more sales
leads to a different salesperson, for example if the original salesperson
leaves your company.
If you enter only the salesperson number, the program reassigns all
lead records for that salesperson to the new salesperson. If you enter
more detailed information, then only that subset of leads for that salesperson
is selected. The program creates a lead activity record is created
for each lead record you reassign along with an entry into the Customer
Comments file.
Reassigning sales leads to a new salesperson moves the contact,
the quote, and the customer
to the new salesperson while updating the appropriate fields in the Customer Settings
such as the Salesperson field . The system reassigns only customers with
open leads.
Current SalespersonEnter
the code of the salesperson
who currently maintains the sales leads you want to transfer. If you click
on the Search button, you access the Salesperson Lookup window, from which
you can make a selection.
New SalespersonEnter
the code of the salesperson
to whom you want to transfer the sales leads. If you click on the Search
button, you access the Salesperson Lookup window, from which you can make
a selection.
Current Salesperson LocationEnter
the location code of the current salesperson. The system transfers only
leads to the selected location. If the current salesperson maintains leads
from multiple locations, run this routine for each of those locations
that contain leads you want to transfer.
Merchandise InterestEnter
the merchandise interest (if any) to which you want to restrict the output
of this routine.
Product Brand InterestEnter
the product brand (if any) to which you want to restrict the output of
this routine.
'From' Customer Name CutoffTo restrict
the list of leads you want to transfer to an alphabetical range of customers,
enter the last name of the first customer in the range. Otherwise, leave
this field blank.
'To' Customer Name CutoffTo restrict
the list of leads you want to transfer to an alphabetical range of customers,
enter the last name of the last customer in the range. Otherwise, leave
this field blank.
Reassignment Activity TypeEach update
to a sales lead requires you specify an activity type for the update.
Enter the activity type for lead reassignment that you created in the
Type of Activity Settings. If you have not created an activity type for
lead reassignment, create one in the Type of Activity Settings.
